Make sure it is dual voltage (120-240v) – most are these days and will switch automatically. Also had a ‘World’ power adaptor which will have adapters for every power outlet.
One last tip, buy something small and discreet – so that you do not draw attention to yourself and when in the Middle East (especially) do not photograph/record a specific individual without their permission – though you should be OK with general crowd scenes.
