I have a camcorder and already used like 40 minutes,only 20 minutes remain. Can I delete footage from the cassette tape so there can be 60 minutes again or do I have to buy another cassette tape?My camcorder model is a Sony DCR-HC21.

I’m using a Sony DCR-TRV130 camcorder. I have several Hi8 tapes with old video on them. One of the tapes won’t play back in the camcorder, on TV or on the computer. The camcorder doesn’t give me an error, the LCD screen is just a blank blue screen. Sony support suggested something about condensation damage and then asked me to sign up for their fix-it services. Is there a way to fix this problem myself? Thanks.

I bought a tape head cleaner as my book suggested which I used and this still didnt work so I put my tape back in and now it wont reject it. Ive charged it so it cant be that. Please help as I cant afford to buy a new one and I so want it right for xmas.

I have a Sony DCR-HC32E Handycam which recently died on me. Will not work at all. I’m wondering if there is a way to remove the tape from the handycam without destroying the tape or too much of the camera. If I have to unscrew a panel, fine thats an option, but smashing it open with a hammer is not. Cheers.

I bought a Sony TRV255E PAL camcorder a while ago and had the software on my computer, though now I’ve upgraded to Vista and lost the software/ Drivers disc. I want to get the footage off the tape and onto the computer. I tried to get the drivers from Sony but they wanted the CD key, which is with the disc I lost. Any suggestions?

I connected the camcorder to my Hp but it doesn’t give me any options to download the tape to the computer. I already downloaded the CD that came with the camcorder “digital photo navigator 1.5″ but again it doesn’t give me any option.

blank dvd, will it record on the dvd even though the camcorder is analog and not digital ? I’d love to know before i buy a dvd recorder !

I have a TDK 8mm MP Premium camcorder tape. Unfortunately, I dont have the camcorder anymore. Is there a method/machine to easily transfer it onto the computer/VHS/dvd? I don’t want to spend lots of money just to be able to see this tape again.

I would like to buy a camcorder that uses tape because I’ve heard it’s the best format quality. I should be filming short movies. I will be editing my footage using a computer with something like Windows Movie Maker so I need the format to be ‘editable’. I am unsure, however, whether tape will be able to do this, and also I don’t know how to get the recorder tape onto a digital format for my computer.
Any help please?

The camcorder tapes I have are TDK 8mm HS90 tapes that were used in a Sony camcorder in years 2000-2002. I no longer have the camera and really want to do these myself instead of using a company to do it for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
