“The Missing Manual—IMovie 6 and IDVD” states that they are incompatable. I am wondering if since this book was published they have created the necessary connection (something similar to Firewire) to now make it possible to load movies from this camera to my Mac.
We would really like to get our daughter’s movies on our computer and be able to edit them in IMovie……Thank You

I have a Sony MiniDV camcorder with Firewire or USB output. I’d like to stream this video live using a live streaming website such as livestream.com without having to hook up the camera to a computer. In other words, is there an appliance like the Slingbox that can take video from the camcorder, connect to the internet and directly stream it out or stream it through one of the live streaming sites?

I want to be able to get three different wireless microphones and use the sound from each to be input into the camcorder. I think I might need a audio mixer or a mic mixer or something to that extent, but I am not exactly sure. Please help! Thanks.

I have a camcorder and already used like 40 minutes, only 20 minutes remain. Can I delete footage from the cassette tape so there can be 60 minutes again or do I have to buy another cassette tape?My camcorder model is a Sony DCR-HC21.

I bought a 5 pin to USB cable from Best Buy($28 bucks Zow!) and hooked it up. I found that Sony has some driver for this OLDER camcorder but no drivers for Vista. Where do I start? I’d like to load them onto Windows Movie Maker or something better if you have suggestions. I am at a dead end right now.

You need an interface to connect your cam to to transfer the audio and video. Some products may come with WinfastPVR which is a great site.
Simply connect the cam to the video and audio inputs with RCA cable and then capture with PVR while playing the tape. Capture as an AVI if you want to edit the footage. If you simply want to get it onto DVDs, encode as MPEG which will easily import into any DVD authoring software.
This PCI unit is good for general use:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
I personally use this for analog transfers:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

This probably sounds really ridiculous, but I need to put a video I edited with Windows MovieMaker back onto my camcorder (Sony HandyCam model DCR-HC21), and I’ve tried pretty much everything. I have a week to figure this out before I present it as a project in school. Anyone know what to do?
