I’m looking for a moderately priced digital camcorder that will record high quality footage in low level light situations, but also have really good sound quality. Mostly for recording live music in small club type settings. Geek speak is Greek to me. I get really confused when people talk about bites and pixels and whatnot. I just want something that can see in the (not completely) dark without being green. If someone can recommend a brand/ product name that would be great.

My computer doesn’t recognize DCR-SR100. I tried to the driver posted on Sony website for other digital camcorder and it did not work.

Do I really need camcorder? I know camera has space limitation but I can still record for about 30-35 minutes of 640×480 video which is good enough for me.

What is the best camcorder out there? I want to be able to hook it up to my computer also.

I recently purchased the Canon Vixia HF200 digital camcorder. What can i do, as far as changing settings go, to optimize the quality and get the best out of my new camcorder… Also any tips such as low-light filming suggestions and stuff like that would be immensely helpful.
I will be importing to a mac computer by the way.
Thanks!

An old camcorder has come into my possesion. I only use it occasionally. Is there an easy cheap way to get the tape onto disc?

I have a Sony Digital Camcorder Model DCR-TRV340. If I save video on the memory stick you can only have 300 by 200 resolution. Is there anyway to record video with the regular tape and then transfer it to a pc with higher resolution?

I bought a 5 pin to USB cable from Best Buy($28 bucks Zow!) and hooked it up. I found that Sony has some driver for this OLDER camcorder but no drivers for Vista. Where do I start? I’d like to load them onto Windows Movie Maker or something better if you have suggestions. I am at a dead end right now.
