I want to be able to video my 3 year old growing up and so I will tote the camcorder around and don’t want to be so heavy and bulky. I want to be able to put it in my purse and go.

My computer doesn’t recognize DCR-SR100. I tried to the driver posted on Sony website for other digital camcorder and it did not work.

I have a Sony video Hi8 camcorder and I want to put the tape on my computer so I can edit the film with Windows Movie Maker. Do I need a firewire? If so, I’m not familiar with them and don’t know where to put it. Could I possibly use a usb cord?

Okay, I’ll admit that I’m a real noob when in comes to technology, but Ill ask anyway. I have some recordings on my camcorder that I would like to put on my computer, but I don’t know what to do or where to go. I figured that connecting my camcorder to the computer with the USB cord would give me a message about saving it but nothing shows up. Do I have to go to the start menu and go somewhere? Can I just put the disc into the computer and do something? Please, I need help.

Hi yahoo people, I have one question. How do you download videos from your camcorder to your computer. Me and my family have a youtube account and we want to download a few videos. I know how to download videos to youtube, but I don’t know how to get them to our computer. If any of you guys know how to, please please please let us know. Thanks

It is a digital handycam, but when I connect it up with my usb cable it does nothing. (I can download still picture from it to the computer but it will not do the footage from tape) Grandmother is gone now and this footage is important to save for our family. I need to place it on a DVD for the younger family members.

I have the JVC GR-AX220 camcorder and it does not have a USB or a firewire port. There is something that says JLIP on it, and that iknow is used with the red and white audio, and yellow video cord. I was told that you can put a video from that on the computer but does anyone know how? Also I have a mini DV camera if that helps.

I have a SONY DCR-SR62 camcorder and cant get the movies to play on my computer. There is an error message when I try to open them. I tried different formats but none of them worked. How do you import the movie clips from the camera? Do you need any special software other than iMovie?

I have a Hi8 camcorder and i want to be able to hook it to my computer so i cant watch it on there and copy the video so i can save the videos on my computer. I also need a program that will rip the videos (or will fraps work)?

I don’t have a firewire port on my camcorder, just a plug-in for audio/video cords.
Is there an adapter or card for my computer that I could buy so I can take the videos from my Mini-DV tape and put them on a DVD?
