I am thinking about purchasing the Sony DVD110 as it has become available within my budget.
I would like to know what they are like, and if it is just as easy as record and play straight from the camera into an ordinary DVD player with no complications.

my brother has a sony dvd camcorder which uses mini dvds but he has endless problems with them especially recording them to normal dvds.
i have a hard drive sony camcorder and its so easy just put the camcorder on the base supplied plug it in and connect the 3 wires red yellow white to tv switch on tv and then camcorder and press play very easy and no silly dvd to carry around They are also cheap now
For ease of use in the manner you describe they are ideal, but if you want to edit your videos and add effect etc. you will have to purchase additional software, and a loss of picture quality can happen.
