How To Prevent My Camcorder From Shutting Down Itself?

Hi, I hаνе a Sony DCR TRV 22E, I need tο υѕе mу camera fοr monitoring οnƖу οr аѕ a webcam, nοt recording. Hοw сουƖԁ I prevent mу camcorder frοm shutting down itself? Bесаυѕе usually whеn nοt recording thе camcorder wουƖԁ shut down tο save thе battery power. Thanks a lot.

    Remove the tape. That shutdown feature is really designed to save the rollers from burning a hole in the tape. Also there might be an option inside of the menu. But for the most part if there is no tape in the camera and the AC adaptor is plugged in, it will stay on indefinately.

    Leaving the tape compartment open will accomplish this but it can also allow spills or dust to enter the camcorder. If you are going to do this for an extended period of time you should cover the open tape compartment with something to protect it (plastic baggie taped over the compartment?).
